About
On the edge of the Cotswolds, The Gate Inn is a fine pub built of local stone. Inside, the scene is set by old beams, brass ornaments, a fire blazing in a stone hearth and a serving area decorated with hop bines.
This traditional country pub serves good home made food, with Grimsby fish a speciality and a good selection of pies. Well kept Hook Norton beers are available alongside a good selection of wines.
There is a large beer garden to the rear and facilities for a marquee for weddings and other large functions.
Location
The pub is situated between Shipston on Stour and Banbury and approximately 10-12 miles from Stratford upon Avon.It is a regular stopping point for walkers enjoying the countryside and is the base for many ramblers attempting the five-mile Brailes Three Hills walk on May Day.
