Idyllic place to sit on a cold Winter evening

Thursday 16th October was a busy day for Nigel and Carole Davis at The Marston Inn.

The pub had been shut for three days in anticipation of their re-launch party and the final hours were a race against the clock to paint the last wall and polish the last table!  With the help of the Brewery, Nigel and Carole have had a new floor put in along with new light fittings and some redecoration in the bar and dining areas.

All their efforts were well worth it on the re-launch night.  Almost every customer who walked through the door commented on how light and welcoming the pub was.  The floor was a definite winner amongst locals, saying it brightened everything and made the rooms feel bigger.

The deep red walls also leant to the cosy atmosphere and next to the huge fireplace, it is an idyllic place to sit on a cold Winter evening. ‘We are so grateful for all the support and help we’ve had from the Brewery to make this happen’ Said Nigel, ‘I couldn’t be happier with the finished look and a pub full of people is great!’ Jo Hyde, The Marston Inn’s Operations Manager was delighted with how well the evening went.  ‘It’s so nice to see our tenants giving something back to the community like this’.

Food was available on the night in the form of nibbles which were matched with various Hook Norton ales to promote the beer with food campaign.

These went down very well among the customers, most people commented that they wouldn’t think to drink beer with a meal but following this experience they would definitely give it a try.

The Marston Inn now has an exciting new menu to match their new profile.

Also, check out their Christmas menu – why not book a party – it’s fantastic value!
