Hook Norton beers tops with bottlers.

Hook Norton beer scoops four awards at the British Bottlers Institute Awards 2008. Hook Norton shows it has the winning touch as it picks up four awards at the prestigious British Bottlers - Institute Awards.

The competition is open to all producers of ales, lagers and ciders in bottles & cans. Hooky Bitter won gold in Class A - Ales up to 3.9 per cent alcohol by volume.

Old Hooky won silver in the Class B - Ales 4.0 - 4.9 per cent.

In Class C - Ales 5.0 - 5.9 per cent Haymaker won silver and Twelve Days picked up a diploma for finishing in third place.

To win one award in is a triumph, but to win four is a fabulous tribute to the quality of work staff do at the brewery, said Hook Norton Managing Director James Clarke.

The British Bottlers - Institute Awards is open to all UK and foreign producers, bottlers and canners of ales, lagers and ciders. It has been held since 1961 and alternates annually between Alcoholic Beverages and Soft Drinks.

The competition is judged by a panel of experts during an anonymous, independent blind tasting and only the names of winning competitors is published after the event.
