Butchers Arms fundraising success!
The Butchers Arms was recently at the forefront of efforts of the villagers in Kings Sutton to raise money for the Children’s ward at Horton House Hospital. The fund raising effort took the form of a 'Poachers Night'. The pub put a number of dishes made with local game on the menu and locals came along, enjoyed the food (all of which had been donated locally) and then made donations in return for their meal. This year their efforts have so far raised over £500 for the Hospital and landlord Eric Branton is still hoping the final total will be a little more. “As well as raising money for Horton House, all our customers were able to enjoy a great night and some tasty food”, he said. “When you combine the good night out in the community with fund raising it is the perfect example of how village pubs support their community and how the community should support their pubs. Everyone who came thoroughly enjoyed it and we look forward to the next one.
