CRAFTY ALE BREWED TO RAISE FUNDS FOR SPECIALIST CARE BABY UNIT
We are very proud to announce the launch of our latest crafty ale, Two Little Higglets.
Every beer needs a reason to be and this one has two – Harry and Jasper, twin boys born a bit to early to proud parents Mark and Claire Higgs, proprietors at The Castle at Edge Hill. The twins were cared for in the SpecialCare Baby Unit at Warwick Hospital and to help raise greatly needed funds for this incredible unit Two Little Higglets has been brewed by Mark, the twin’s uncle, Richard Baker, Jane Wardley, a nurse from the SCBU and her husband John with guidance from our resident crafty brewer Rob Thomson.
Claire told us “Harry and Jasper were born on the 21st July 2016 at 31 weeks in Warwick Hospital at 7.05am and 7.07am. They spent a total of 9 weeks in the Special Care Baby Unit and were given the most incredible care from the Neo-natal staff. Both boys required lots of medical intervention from birth and after two long and worrying months our gorgeous little men are now home where they belong. Without the outstanding level of care they received during this time they simply would not be where they are today – happy, healthy and thriving 12 week old babies. Please raise a glass of special brew ‘ Two Little Higglets’ to help raise funds for the SCBU which will go towards much needed equipment to help babies like Harry and Jasper. We thank you so much for your support “
All profits from the sale of this beer will be going to the Special Care Baby Unit at Warwick Hospital.
Two Little Higglets will be making appearances on the bar at the brewery, The Castle, Edge Hill, The Reindeer, Banbury, The Kings Head, Napton, The Bell, Adderbury, The Three Conies, Thorpe Mandeville and The Sun, Hook Norton so please order a pint and help raise funds for this wonderful unit.
