Cycle Club visits The Brewery

Lead by Jake Backus, an avid Hooky fan, Zappi's Cycle Club from Oxford thought they were out for a gentle ride, some 23 gruelling miles later they arrived at Hook Norton Brewery for a much needed beer tasting.

The club was founded by Flavio Zappi who rode as a professional in the early 1980s and wore the 'King of the Mountains jersey' in the Giro d'Italia.

Richard Hughes, Manager at The Brewery, said "Although Jake was slightly unpopular with his team mates when they arrived, after twenty minutes and a few samples, they all left in high spirits, fully refreshed and ready for the return journey."
