Fox Inn wins North Oxfordshire CAMRA Pub of the Year award
Congratulations go to The Fox Inn, Westcote Barton which has been named The North Oxfordshire CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Pub of the Year. The award was presented to Tony and Jacqui Bass at The Fox, on the 16th July 2012 by outgoing Chairman Lynne Baldwin. CAMRA members and beer enthusiasts joined forces with Serena Williams (Hook Norton's National Account Manager) and James Clarke, Hook Norton's Managing Director at the presentation of the award to pay tribute to the fantastic job that Tony and Jackie have done over the last year to win this award.
The Fox is an Enterprise Inns pub which serves an excellent pint of Hooky alongside Hook Norton's latest addition to the bar, the new 4% beer, Cotswold Lion. This pub has consistently delivered both traditional home cooked food and delicious cask ale to many satisfied customers.
Jacqui and Tony received the certificate in a short ceremony prior to the branch AGM. Tony accepted the award thanking his loyal customers and paying special tribute to Hook Norton Brewery for their assistance. A remarkable achievement as Tony and Jacqui took over the Fox only one year prior to winning the award. The pub had been closed for some time, having had a succession of landlords, but they have transformed the Fox into a hub of the community where all are welcome, as well as organising a very successful charity beer and music festival over the August Bank Holiday. Most important of all though: the beer is of the highest quality!
