Hare and Hounds regulars pull together for Alzheimers charity

Carol Wixey and Jamie Murray, licensees of the Hare and Hounds would like to thank all those who made last weekend’s Music and Beer Festival such a resounding success.

Much of the success of the event was due to the enormous efforts of Pat and Bridget Baker who have been organising tirelessly for many, many months. Pat also acted as the Master of Ceremonies throughout the entire weekend making the raffles and auctions so successful.

All the bands that Pat brought together gave their time and musical content free of charge to ensure that all monies raised would go directly to the Alzheimer charity.

Carol and Jamie would also like to thank all the diverse local and national businesses for the fantastic prizes that they donated which included a 42” LCD Flat Screen TV, Men’s Mountain Bike, Ladies Mountain Bike, All Weekend Fairport Tickets and many more.

The weekend raised at least £3,000 for the Alzheimer charity which will be added to the earlier Charity Pub Bike Ride which is set to raise £5,000. That totals £8,000 and there is still 5 months of charity raising to go with a target of £10,000, which will be an amazing 43% above last year’s record.
