The world of hook norton brewery

Hooky shortlisted in 2015 Morning Advertiser Publican Awards

Hook Norton Brewery was delighted to have received the news that they have been shortlisted in the prestigious Morning Advertiser Publican awards (commonly regarded as the Oscars of the Pub Trade), in the Brewery with Pubs category. Although the results will not be announced till March, judging has already begun, with the Brewery playing host to Pete Brown the renowned beer writer last Friday.   As well as visiting the brewery as part of the judging he went to three great Hooky Pubs, The Pear Tree and The Sun in Hook Norton village as well as the renowned Reindeer in the middle of Banbury. Final judging is in London next month, but Hook Norton MD James Clarke is optimistic about their chances. “Pete emphasised to us that the core of what the judges were looking for was how the pub and brewery relationship benefits both parties”, he said. “At Hook Norton, we see the people who run our pubs as part of the brewery family so whether it’s us investing money, supporting their charity work or them being the shop window for our beers, we try to work together for everyone’s benefit. I know Pete was impressed with the pubs he visited, but only time will tell if we win.”
