The Hare & Hounds raises a staggering £9,000 for Alzheimer'sSociety

The Hare & Hounds in Oxfordshire, which is renowned for fundraising, has raised an astounding £9,000 for Alzheimer's Society.

The traditional Hook Norton village pub’s Landlady Carol Wixey, her staff and loyal customers together raised the grand total from January – December 2013 by running various events at The Hare & Hounds. The events included; sponsored bike rides, golf events, darts nights, quiz nights and domino’s nights. Carol also runs Tea and coffee mornings for the local pensioners and is a local drop off point for any charity donations.

The big charity event last year however, was the weekend beer festival held at The Hare & Hounds. The event ran from Friday night through to Sunday evening and consisted of 10 local bands who kept the festival goers entertained, along with lots of amazing raffle prizes and fun games.

Hook Norton Brewery would like to congratulate Carol and all of those who were involved in raising £9,000 for such a worthy cause. What a fantastic start to 2014!
