ENVIRONMENTALLY AWARE BREWING

At Hook Norton, we take an active approach to ensuring that the Brewery and the local community operate in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

The brewery is also always on the lookout for ways to use the by-products naturally created by the brewing process.  Spent hops are passed on for use as fertiliser and local animals are grateful recipients of the spent grains which are sent off to become cattle feed.  Of course, local Hook Norton gardeners also benefit from the natural waste produced by our beautiful brewery Shire Horses!

The water used in the brewing process is reused as much as possible in the brewery and Hook Norton is proud to have one of the best records in terms of the amount of water used per amount of beer produced.
