Hook Norton Brewery’s 4.2% Brew Takes Top Prize
The 18th Moreton Beer & Cider Festival concluded on Saturday, September 13, 2025, after two days of celebrating the best of British brewing and cider-making. The popular event, held at the Moreton in Marsh Cricket Club, saw an impressive selection of approximately 45 Real Ales and 20 Ciders & Perry’s on offer for thirsty festival-goers.
The evening’s top honour, the prestigious “Locale of the Festival” award, was presented to Tower Ale (4.2% ABV) from Hook Norton Brewery.
Hook Norton’s regional account manager, Giles Minkley, collected the coveted award this week. Commenting on the win, Minkley expressed his delight, “We are absolutely thrilled that Tower Ale has been recognised with this award. It’s a huge testament to the dedication of our brewing team back in Hook Norton. We pride all ourselves on brewing a great pint, and it’s brilliant to see it celebrated by the beer lovers here in Moreton.”
The festival, a yearly fixture in the Gloucestershire calendar, continues to draw crowds eager to sample a diverse range of beverages from local and national producers.
