173 Coffee Stout Anniversary Ale

Hook Norton Brewery have released the third beer in their 173rd Anniversary Range – 173 Coffee Stout, celebrating another year of beer and brewing.  The brewery first started brewing anniversary ales in their 167th year and have released a new range each year, with the beers brewed increasing a percentage in strength each time.

The aptly named 173 Coffee Stout 7.3% is a coffee flavoured stout – they like to keep things simple down at the brewery! The coffee, a Java Blend from Cotswold and Sourced Coffee, an online coffee bean and machine supplier based in the Cotswolds, is an espresso coffee that is a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans sourced from Brazil, Honduras, Ethiopia, & India that produces a truly powerful espresso. Full of flavour, rich toffee sweetness and hints of cocoa.

173 Coffee Stout is available in 500ml bottles exclusively from the brewery shop and online here.

To complete the range, the brewery will be releasing a 173 Lager over the next few months.
