Discover the Story of Hook Norton Brewery at your own pace

Hook Norton Brewery is inviting visitors to discover its rich heritage, traditional brewing methods and famous Shire Horses through its Steep Brewery Experience – a relaxed alternative to the brewery’s full tour.

Set within the brewery’s original Maltings building, The Steep, the experience has been specially designed for guests who would prefer to explore the story of Hook Norton at a gentler pace, without the stairs and physical demands of the traditional brewery tour.

Visitors can sit back, relax and let Monty, the brewery’s trusty tour guide, bring its fascinating history to life through a 30-minute audio-visual presentation. From the ingredients that go into every pint to the traditional brewing process and how the brewery delivers its beers to customers, guests will discover what makes Hook Norton Brewery such a special part of the local community and brewing heritage.

The experience also offers the opportunity to meet one of the brewery’s magnificent Shire Horses. These much-loved four-legged employees remain an important part of Hook Norton’s story, representing the enduring traditions that continue to shape the brewery today.

And no visit would be complete without sampling the finished product. Guests can enjoy a tutored tasting of a selection of the brewery’s favourite beers, discovering their distinctive flavours and characteristics.
