Trafalgar Night Dinner
What a splendid evening it was! Hook Norton Brewery was decked with naval flags last night, Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, as we hosted our special Trafalgar Night Dinner & Drinks Evening.
It was a fantastic way to commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar and, closer to home, celebrate the 20th anniversary of our Flagship IPA.
Guests were treated to an evening steeped in tradition, fine fare, and, of course, exceptional beer. The atmosphere was convivial, with the spirit of “England Expects” setting the stage for a memorable night.
A Culinary Voyage
Our chefs truly outdid themselves, crafting a delicious three-course dinner specifically designed to complement the character and depth of our celebrated ales. From hearty starters to delightful desserts, every plate was a perfect pairing. The drinks flowed freely throughout the evening, ensuring every guest had the chance to raise a glass—or several!
Toasts and Tributes
The heart of the evening lay in the traditional toasts and tributes that mark Trafalgar Night. Honouring the courage and sacrifice of Admiral Lord Nelson and his fleet, the ceremony was a moving reminder of the importance of this historical date. It was a pleasure to share this piece of British naval history and tradition with everyone in attendance.
Flagship Flies High
It was particularly fitting to celebrate the 20th birthday of our Flagship IPA at such a quintessentially English event. Flagship, with its bold, hoppy character and enduring popularity, remains a testament to our brewing heritage, and we were proud to see it take centre stage throughout the evening. Here’s to many more years of great beer!
