Matt Weedon takes head chef role at The Fox, Chipping Norton
Matt Weedon has been appointed head chef at The Fox, a traditional 16th century inn situated in the centre of Chipping Norton’s historic market place.
Earning multiple accolades, including Michelin stars, at two of the restaurants he headed, he brings a passion for dishes with a strong emphasis on quality ingredients from local suppliers to create good, honest tasty food. With new menus and new dishes planned Matt has hit the ground running with dishes such as Steak & Hooky Ale Shortcrust Pastry Pie, Arancini Risotto Balls and Old Hooky Beer Bread with Marmite Butter all getting great reviews.
The kitchen team will be running breakfast, lunch and dinner menus seven days a week alongside daily special boards serving food in a relaxed, open plan bar and restaurant. Dinner parties can be catered for in their private dining room that seats twelve.
Weedon said: “I’m excited to be joining the team at The Fox and looking forward to driving the food and service forward using the very best of local, quality suppliers to produce a menu fitting for our location here in the Cotswolds.”
