4 started as a simple dream for a couple who both wanted a drinking experience that catered for different tastes. Initially they set up a small Ale and Gin House in the Cotswolds. Specialising in quality Hook Norton beer and craft ales and an impressive selection of Artisan gins from around the World. Soon they outgrew their environment and realised this dream needed to develop in a town setting. Banbury became that ideal town.

It is always about the drinking experience first and foremost. We want to introduce you to new tastes and ideas both in the craft ale world and the ever expanding gin scene. We will have regular clubs where you can meet like minded individuals to discuss the latest offerings from local breweries and distilleries.

We want to create an environment that encourages people to get off their sofa and visit a bar. A comfortable setting where you can meet friends and colleagues, listen to classic tunes, enjoying fabulous drinks, eating tasty food.

We offer sharing platters and tasty bar bistro style food, pitchers of ales and jugs of gin. Come as a group and enjoy the atmosphere or hideaway in a corner as a couple or individual, read newspapers, listen to music, drink coffee, or wine, ale or gin.
