RED LION, STEEPLE ASTON
Proprietor: CHRIS GATES
Features: An inviting Oxfordshire village pub with a cosy bar, warmed by a wood burning stove. Our food is generous and unfussy and can be paired with local beers brewed just 12 miles away.
A warm welcome awaits you in this traditional English country pub and restaurant situated in the Cherwell Valley. The bar is intimate and cosy with a real fire in winter and a pretty terrace for drinking in the warmer weather.
The menu boasts many pub classics which are all prepared in-house, complemented by the specials board on which you may find fresh fish of the day, steaks, pies and roasts. The restaurant is a new addition to the main building and is ideal for family get-togethers and celebrations as well as quiet, candlelit dinners for two. There are three real ales always available and a choice of around ten quality wines by the glass.
Naomi’s Bit on the Side! Pop inside and you’ll find Naomi serving delicious cakes, bakes and sweet treats, coffees, teas and milkshakes. Open Tuesday to Saturday 9am – 3pm.Takeaway available
